Whether Lash extensions are your main income focus or an addition to your hair, makeup, or facial services--they will provide repeat clients every 2-3 weeks.

The industry is becoming full of self-taught lash techs. These ‘techs’ are damaging lashes by not understanding vital responsibilities such as isolation, sanitation, and proper lash weights. Soon, the Oregon State Board of Cosmetology will crack down--you want to stay ahead of the game by being qualified.

**Training is offered to licensed cosmetologists, hairstylists, and estheticians. Luminaria Studios is no longer issuing certification through Lash Affair, Inc - certifications are now issued by Jen Davis of Luminaria Studios, an esthetician with 7+ years experience/educated by some of the biggest names in the industry (Lash Affair, Revolashion, Elleebana, to name a few)

MENTORING AVAILABLE

Are you a certified Lash Artist, looking to improve and hone your skills? One-on-one mentoring is your answer. Arrange a model, and Jen will sit with you to troubleshoot whatever issues you have and answer all your questions. 2 hour minimum/$150 + $50 each additional hour needed.

CLASS DETAILS

Classic or Volume Lash Certification training will be held on a date and time that works best for both student and educator, and will last one full 6-8 hour day. Classes are customizable; length depends on needs of student. Morning session will consist of intros, theory (including isolation, proper weights, lash mapping, adhesives, removal); sanitation (disinfecting tools, eye health, safety); and mannequin practice. After lunch, further instruction will be provided before your model arrives for hands-on learning (you will need to arrange one model). The hands-on portion of the day will be focused on a start-to-finish full set on a live model. Focus will be on prep, proper isolation, placement, and techniques.

WHO IS JEN DAVIS?

“I’ve been in the beauty/wellness industry for 14 years, and was formerly the PNW regional educator for Lash Affair, Inc. The lash industry has evolved immensely over the years. New techniques, improvements to old techniques, problem solving, lash mapping, styling, adhesives - I’ve spent my career researching all of it. I’ve tried and tested at least 10 different lash company’s products. Continuing my education has been a priority. And I see what’s happening in the industry now. It’s exploding - there’s never been more need to train artists properly to ensure the health of their clients’ lashes.

Since my original Classic training with LavishLashes in March 2016, I’ve gone on to obtain certifications by Lash Affair, Inc (Volume), Elleebana (lash lifts), Lacquer Brow (brow lamination), and I am a Master Lash artist with advanced certification by Revolashion (Russian and Mega Volume).

Training

Recent graduates of Cosmetology or Esthetics programs: if you would like to add an additional income source to your business, lash extensions are the way to go!

The beauty of obtaining certification through Luminaria Studios is that it’s one-on-one training in a friendly, judgment-free atmosphere. No questions are off limits! Jen has been accredited to train and certify new lash artists by Lash, Inc. In this full-day class, she provides all the tools you need to hit the ground running in the art of Classic lash extensions - from placing that first lash to running your own business.

What you will need: a pen, notepad for note taking, and a live model (who does not currently have lash extensions) is required to arrive during the last 2 hours of class. Supplies and tools will be provided, as well as snacks and beverages. Sessions are held any day of the week that is most convenient, inside Birch Salon in Downtown Milwaukie. Ongoing support and mentoring is available for the life of your lash career by text or email!
